Year of Renewal:

Offering A Worthy Sacrifice of Praise

The Archbishop has dedicated this liturgical year as a “Year of Renewal: Offering A Worthy Sacrifice Of Praise”. You may have noticed, beginning in Advent, special bulletin inserts, which is a 10 part series on explaining the celebration of the Mass. Beginning with the 2nd week of Lent, at the request of our Archbishop, a special 4 part program of study and discussion will be made available in every church parish. A special flyer is in the back of church with contact information or contact the parish office. The general plan is to gather in small sharing groups using the book, The Mass Explained, by Monsignor James P. Moroney. The cost of the book is $6.00 and will be ordered from the archdiocese through the church parishes. It is our hope that we will have enough interested at Christ the King to form groups during the day as well as evening hours for those who work. We ask that any interested participants make contact with the parish office before January 27th so that books can be purchased and available for the first gathering in the week of March 4th.
